Ruth Sue Ann Robison Death News; Lowa Man, Kills Ex-Girlfriend’s Mom And Injures Dad As They Help Her Move Out After Breakup’

A 24-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend mum and critically injured her father as they helped her move out after a breakup.

Hamza Smajlovic, from lowa, was arrested on charged of murder in the first degree, attempted murder and intimidation with a dangerous weapon. Smajlovic has been accused  of killing 45 years old Ruth Sue Ann Robison and injuring her husband Tony Ray Robison.

Smajlovic allegedly open fire as his ex-girlfriend was being helped by her parents to move out of the home she had shared with Smajlovic. Polk County Sheriff’s officers arrived at the scene and found Ruth and Tony suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims were rushed to hospital, where Ruth was pronounced dead. Her husband remains in hospital in critical condition, according to Law and Crime.

Ruth was shot once in the head with a 9mm pistol. Smajlovic also allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend’s father in the head. He’s said to have remained at the scene after allegedly carrying out the shooting.

Smajlovic’s ex-girlfriend was also in the home at the time of the shooting. Police have confirmed she was not physically injured in the incident.

A criminal complaint said: “The defendant did knowingly, intentionally and willingly fire a live 9 mm round into an occupied residence at the victim, while in the commission of a murder and attempted murder of two other victims in the home at the time of the shooting.”

GoFundMe has also been launched to help support Ruth’s family. The organizer wrote: “After the tragic events of Friday, November 1, we are all devastated by Ruth Robison’s loss as well as the hospitalization of Tony Robison. Because of the circumstances, the family was not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service for Ruth and the hospital bills for Tony. We want to help their family to give Ruth the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory.”

The organizer continued: “Additionally, we want to help out with hospital expenses for Tony along with the day-to-day living expenses for the family while they navigate this difficult time.”

Smajlovic was taken to the Polk County Jail, where he remains without bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 12.
