A 64-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Clackamas County, Oregon. According to the Oregon State Police (OSP), the crash occurred on November 10 at around 4:12 a.m. on Highway 224 near milepost 14.
Investigators determined that the driver, identified as Martin V. Crumpton, 64, from Riverside, California, was traveling eastbound in his Buick Rainier when, for reasons yet to be determined, he left the road and struck a tree.
Emergency responders were quickly on the scene, but Crumpton was pronounced dead at the site of the crash. The accident caused significant traffic delays on Highway 224, with the road being closed for about three hours while authorities conducted their investigation.
