Authorities identified the suspect in custody as 27-year-old Anthony Bernardino Cortez Manarite, who was apprehended shortly after the incident and is now being held while the investigation unfolds.
Deputies responded to the call at approximately 5:24 a.m., locating Criddle in the 3500 block of Flint Avenue with a gunshot wound. First responders transported him to Medical Center Hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries soon after arrival.
