It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amone Botha, a beloved family member, friend, and member of the Western Cape community, who tragically lost her life in a motorcycle accident. Amone was a passionate and adventurous soul who loved the freedom of the open road and found joy in the simple moments of life.
On the day of the accident, she was riding her motorcycle in when the unexpected tragedy occurred. Despite the best efforts of emergency responders, Amone passed away as a result of her injuries.
Amone was born, and from an early age, she was known for her vibrant spirit and determination. Growing up in the Western Cape, Amone had a deep love for nature, the outdoors, and the beauty of her homeland.
Her passion for motorcycles began in her early twenties when she discovered the thrill and independence that riding brought. Over the years, Amone became a skilled rider, and her motorcycle was a constant companion on many road trips and journeys, exploring the stunning landscapes of South Africa.
Those who knew Amone describe her as a fiercely independent, kind-hearted person who lived life to the fullest. She was known for her infectious laughter, her unwavering loyalty to friends and family, and her ability to make those around her feel valued and loved. Amone is survived by her, as well as her many dear friends who considered her family. She was preceded in death by her. A memorial service to celebrate Amone’s life will be held on with the ceremony beginning. The service will be followed by a reception where friends and family can share memories, stories, and support one another.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an organization that was important to Amone, or to a motorcycle safety advocacy group, in honor of her love for riding and her desire to raise awareness about safety on the roads.
Amone’s sudden and tragic passing has left a hole in the hearts of all who knew her, but her memory will live on through the love she shared, the adventures she experienced, and the indelible mark she left on everyone fortunate enough to have crossed her path.
