Alexander Russell Obituary-Death News; 18 Years Old Motorcyclist Passes Away In Fatal Fox Lake Crash
An 18-year-old motorcyclist, Alexander Russell of Indian Creek, has been identified as the victim of a deadly crash Sunday night near Fox Lake. The collision occurred around 6:13 p.m. on Wilmot Road, just north of Route 173.
Russell was riding his Suzuki motorcycle southbound when it collided with a Dodge van that was attempting to turn into a driveway. The impact threw Russell from the motorcycle, and he was found lying on the grass by the side of the road.
Despite bystanders performing CPR, Russell succumbed to blunt force injuries to his head and chest. The driver of the van, a 41-year-old woman from Lake Villa, was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Fox Lake Police Department is continuing its investigation with assistance from the Lake County accident team, and no charges are expected to be filed. The toxicology report for Russell is still pending.
