Dr Michael Pucci Obituary-Death News; Gastrointestinal And General Surgeon Passes Away
Dr. Michael J. Pucci, a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal and Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgeon has passed away.
The circumstances surrounding Michael Pucci cause of death have not been made public by the family at the time of this report.
Who was Michael Pucci?
Michael J. Pucci, MD, FACS was a gastrointestinal and general surgeon with specialized training in Hepatopancreatobiliary, advanced gastrointestinal, and minimally invasive surgery with specific interests in complex pancreaticobiliary diseases and upper gastrointestinal tracts disorders.
He had special interest in improving the safety of gallbladder operations, and minimizing the complication of injury to the duct system of the liver. He was an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.
About Michael Pucci
Mike was also the co-director of the Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery Fellowship and the Associate Director of Undergraduate Education within the department. He served on many institutional and national committees. He served as an ad hoc reviewer of many surgical journals.
Mike grew up in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia with his parents and brother and sister. He currently live in Philadelphia with his wife, Talar Tatarian, MD, who is also a talented general/GI/bariatric surgeon, and their two kids, Michael and Serli (with their crazy French bulldog, Oliver).
Michael Pucci Funeral Services
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11am on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, and Funeral Mass from 11am-12pm at Saint David Roman Catholic Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA.
A private burial (immediate family only) will be held at 12:30pm at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, 2400 DeKalb Street, Norristown, PA. Memorial Luncheon will start at 1pm at William Penn Inn, 1017 Dekalb Pike, Ambler, PA.
