Justus Jackson Obituary-Death News; Man Died After Tragic Accident in Douglas County On November 5

Justus Jackson of Beaverton, Oregon ha sadly passed away. On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Oregon State Police (OSP) responded to a tragic single-vehicle crash on Highway 230 near milepost 14, in Douglas County. The crash claimed the life of 19-year-old Justus Wilson Jackson of Beaverton, Oregon.

According to preliminary investigations, Jackson was driving a southbound Toyota Corolla when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The force of the impact ejected the driver from the vehicle. Despite the efforts of first responders, Jackson was pronounced deceased at the scene.

OSP was assisted in the investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). Fortunately, the crash did not result in significant traffic disruptions, as the highway remained open during the on-scene investigation. At this time, authorities have not determined the exact cause of the crash, but the investigation is ongoing.
