Anthony Vinson Jr. Shooting; 15 Years Old Anthony Vinson Jr. Passes Away In Fatal Shreveport, Louisiana Shooting
Anthony Vinson Jr., 15, has been identified as the victim of a shooting that took place early Monday in the Mooretown neighborhood of Shreveport. According to the Caddo Parish coroner, the tragic incident occurred just before 2 a.m. in the 5600 block of Jewella Avenue near Hollywood Avenue.
Witnesses reported that as a champagne-colored, early 2000 model Yukon passed the teenagers, an individual in the passenger seat began firing shots, striking Vinson in the head. The vehicle then fled the scene, heading north on Jewella Avenue. Surveillance footage from the city’s Real Time Crime Center captured the Yukon, but the license plate was not visible.
Vinson was quickly transported to Ochsner LSU Health but sadly succumbed to his injuries. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing as authorities search for the suspects involved.
